Opioids are drugs that react with receptors in the brain to relieve pain. These pain killers can come in liquids, capsules, or tablets. Once addicted it’s too late. People continue to seek the high and will do anything to get that feeling, that high, that exhilaration.

  • "Chasing the Dragon” is a straight forward look at drug abuse and addiction and the crisis facing our nation. In an effort to combat the growing epidemic of prescription drug and heroin abuse, the FBI and DEA have released "Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict," a documentary aimed at educating students and young adults about the dangers of addiction.   •  TED talkby Johann Hari  Once a person is recovering they need to reconnect and become part of society again instead of being stigmatize or ostracized. Johann Hari's message in his TED talk offers some insightful points on addiction. This fourteen minute walk aligns with RaRaa's message that there are people who care. Our wish is to bring awareness to the issues and hope to those addicted and those who love them. Hari is also the author of the book:Chasing the Scream

  • The Wisconsin Online Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) is conducted as part of a national effort by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) to monitor health-risk behaviors of the nation’s high school students.
